Ph.D. Thesis: Spin Dynamics in Strongly Coupled Spin-Photon Hybrid Systems (2020)
In his Ph.D. thesis, Stefan Weichselbaumer was working on spin-based quantum systems supervised by PD. Dr. Hans Hübl. He investigated a strongly coupled spin-photon hybrid system consisting of a superconducting microwave resonator and a spin ensemble of phosphorus donors in 28Si. In particular, he studied the dynamics of the coupled system using pulsed electron spin resonance spectroscopy and could observe an initially unexpected train of spin echo signals after applying a single-shot two-pulse spin echo sequence. Furthermore, he quantitatively investigated three microwave resonator geometries in respect to their effective coupling rate.
He left WMI in March 2020 to become a Development Engineer at Rohde & Schwarz GmbH & Co. KG, Germany.
