Prof. Dr. Francesca Venturini
- Alumnus/Alumna: High-Tc-Superconductivity: Superconductivity and Correlated Electron Systems
Francesca Venturini was member of the Gross group at WMI as a Ph.D. student between 2000 and 2003.
Ph.D. Thesis: Raman Scattering Study of Electronic Correlations in Cuprates: Observation of an Unconventional Metal-Insulator Transition (2003)
In her Ph.D. thesis, Francesca Venturin was studying electronic correlations in cuprate superconductors by Raman spectroscopy.
She was leaving WMI in August 2003 to join Bruker Biospin as a project mangager. Later on, she was Business Consultant at IntranetStandard GmbH and Head of Product Development Gas Analytics at Mettler-Toledo International, Inc. Since December 2017 she is Professor of Applied Optics at ZHAW Zurich University of Applied Sciences.
