Janine Gückelhorn was member of the Gross group at WMI as Ph.D. student between 2019 and 2023.

Ph.D. Thesis: Magnon Spin Transport in Magnetically Ordered Insulators (2023)

Janine was a Master’s student at the Technical University of Munich. She completed her master thesis on optical spectroscopy of localized excitons in monolayer WSe2 and its heterostructures at the Walter Schottky Institute in the group of Prof. Dr. Jonathan Finley. Then, in April 2019 she joined WMI as a PhD student, where she was working in the spintrinics group on pure spin currents and magnon transport in magnetically ordered insulators.

In June 2023, she left WMI to join ICMAB Barcelona as a psotdoc working in the Department of Magnetic Materials and Functional Oxides.
