Dr. Peter Eder
Peter Eder was member of the Gross group at WMI as a master and Ph.D. student between 2012 and 2021.
Master Thesis: Dual-path Receiver for State Reconstruction of Propagating Quantum Microwaves (2012)
Ph.D. Thesis: Propagating Quantum Microwave Photonics: Transmon Qubit in a Broadband On-Chip Environment (2022)
In his Ph.D. thesis, Peter Eder was contributing to the field of microwave quantum photonics by scattering experiments of microwave photons. This field is closely related to the concepts of generation, routing, manipulation, and detection of propagating quantum states. He studied the scattering of an incident microwave field off an artificial atom in a broadband engineered, open environment. He could confirm that the noise in the considered system can be described by a combination of the spin boson model and the Ornstein-Uhlenbeck approach.
After finishing his Ph.D. thesis, Peter joined IQM Quantum Computers, where he is Head of Stratigic Partnerships.
