Ph.D. Thesis: Magnetization dynamics in coupled magnetic systems (2018)
In his Ph.D. thesis, which was supervised by PD Dr. Sebastian Gönnenwein, Stefan Klingler was working on the dynamics of spin systems. He aimed at the investigation of magnetization dynamics in coupled magnetic systems using broadband ferromagnetic resonance and Brillouin light scattering techniques. He observed and characterized the coupling and relaxation mechanisms between magnons and electrons in semiconductors, magnons and magnons in magnetic heterostructures, and magnons and photons in photonic resonators. His findings help to utilize the electron spin degree of freedom in novel spintronic devices.
He left WMI in February 2018 to become a Patent Attorney at df-mp Munich.
