Dr. Stefan Pogorzalek
- Alumnus/Alumna: Quantum Systems
Stefan Pogorzalek was member of the Gross group at WMI as a Master and Ph.D. Student, as well as a postdoctoral researcher between 2015 and 2021.
Master Thesis: Displacement of Squeezed Propagating Microwave States (October 2015)
Ph.D. Thesis: Remote State Preparation of Squeezed Microwave States (October 2020)
In his Ph.D. thesis, Stefan Pogorzalek realized a deterministic quantum communication protocol using continuous-variable quantum microwaves. He employed Josephson parametric amplifiers to generate single- and two-mode squeezed states and study their properties by state tomography. As the necessary entangled resource, he used two-mode squeezed microwave states to implement remote state preparation and analyzed the communication security in this protocol.
In November 2020, Stefan joined IQM Quantum Computers, Germany, as a Quantum Engineer.
